The official launch of CeMPED was a great success. Speakers included: International Psycho-Oncologist Professor Lesley Fallowfield; Chair of Cancer Voices NSW Ms Sally Crossing (AM); The University of Sydney's Vice Chancellor Dr Michael Spence; CeMPED's Co-Director Professor Phyllis Butow; and Dr Norman Swan, producer and presenter of the Health Report on the ABC, was the MC. Dr Michael Spence officially opened the centre by unveiling a commemorative plaque.
